FAQs

Q. Do your products contain Palm Oil?
A. All of our products are completely palm oil free. Not sure what Palm Oil is or why you should avoid it? Learn about it here.

Q. Do your products contain Optical Brightening Agents (OBAs)?
A. No they don’t. Unfortunately, nearly all laundry products contain optical brightening agents (OBAs) to help make whites look ‘whiter’ or less yellow. These ingredients (dyes that absorb light in the ultraviolet region and re-emit light in the ‘blue’ region) are not performance enhancers and are simply a waste of resources and an unnecessary chemical additive that can cause skin irritation. It is also a banned ingredient under ISO standard 14024.

Q. Where can I buy your products? My local supermarket used to stock it but now I can’t find it.
A. You can purchase all Orange Power products through leading supermarkets Australia wide. Click here to find out more. Unfortunately, not all supermarkets stock all our lines. If you used to get it in a particular store but can’t find it anymore, ask for either the STORE manager or the MERCHANDISE manager, and ask them to order some in for you. If this doesn’t work call their head office, as only support from consumers (especially for Australian products) will keep these products on supermarket shelves.

Q. Your products seem more expensive than other cleaners. Why is that?
A. Most people think environmentally responsible products are more expensive but if you look at the shelf price comparison labels (unit pricing) you will see that our products are very competitive, especially as many are in larger packs than competitors. Our pack size for all our ‘Greener Cleaners’ is 750mL – 50% larger than most of our competitors’ 500mL bottles. You will find, based on unit pricing that we are actually less expensive than nearly all of these.

Q. What is the GECA ‘tick’ of approval?
A. Good Environmental Choice Australia (GECA) is an independent organisation that tests products against stringent international standards. Only products that pass this test are able to use the GECA logo. Click here for more information.

Q. Why don’t all our products have the GECA ‘tick’ of approval?
A. Unfortunately, the GECA standards for products like our air fresheners and furniture polish have not yet been developed to the point where we can be assessed. However, we can assure you that all of our products are made with the same strict environmental guidelines that we use on all our range!

Q. Are refills available for all the 750mL trigger packs?
A. We are not able to get refills onto larger supermarket shelves but we do produce 4/5Ltr in: Shower, Bath and Tile Cleaner, Multi-Purpose Cleaner and Carpet Cleaner ‘Bulk Packs’ – but only available directly from our Melbourne factory now. If we can convince the large supermarkets to stock refill packs, they will be available

Q. How are your Cleaning products different? They all appear the same.
A. All our products are quite different and are specially formulated to perform each advertised task efficiently and economically, with the least impact on the environment.

Q. Are your products safe for my septic system?
A. As none of our products use Bleach, Ammonia’s or Caustics et at all they are quite safe for septics and biocycles etc. They are also readily biodegradable.

Q. Do you test your products on animals?
A. None of our products have ever and will never be tested on animals.
